The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kivipelto lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

It looks like Kamil Koltun has been cut.
Kivipelto misses with a series of wild punches.
Koltun was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Koltun's corner calls for a 1-2. Koltun obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Koltun throws a head kick that misses.
Koltun lands with a nice combination. Kivipelto backs away looking to recover.
Koltun avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Koltun tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kivipelto swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Koltun takes a swing at Kivipelto's ribcage but misses.

Kivipelto throws a nice looking combination but Koltun bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
It looked like Koltun wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

I was talking to Koltun's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Kivipelto swings wildly with an uppercut but Koltun uses good head movement to avoid it.

Kivipelto drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Koltun gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Koltun breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Koltun connects with a looping right hand.
Koltun doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Kivipelto thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kivipelto swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Koltun jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

Koltun looks to land a combination. Kivipelto sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Koltun moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Kivipelto connects with a single shot there.
Koltun keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Koltun misses with a head kick.
Kivipelto keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Koltun cracks the inside of Kivipelto's front leg.
Kivipelto takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and Kivipelto connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Koltun is rocked!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Kivipelto engages and cracks Koltun with a massive lead left hook - Koltun tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Kivipelto is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
