Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Omar Boulami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Segal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Boulami might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Rock - Mustapha Ibrahim. Omar Boulami has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Segal connects with a looping right hand.

It looks like Omar Boulami has been cut.
Segal misses with a shot to the body
and Boulami counters with a low kick, right behind Segal 's knee.
Boulami fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Segal is out of range.
Segal looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Omar Boulami seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Segal bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Segal misses with a head kick.
Segal scores with a nice strike.
Segal fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Boulami checks it well.
Segal tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Boulami was well out of range. Poor timing from Segal.
Boulami lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Segal misses with a head kick.
Segal rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Boulami moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Boulami blocks a jab.
Boulami is trying hard to land a takedown here. Segal sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Segal only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Boulami fails to land the takedown.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Boulami swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Segal takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Boulami displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Segal throws out the jab.

Segal throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Boulami lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Boulami missing with a left hand there. Segal was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Boulami backing away here, and Segal unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Segal throws a front kick aimed at Boulami's knee but Boulami avoids it well.
Boulami moves away from the strike by Segal.

and Segal connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Segal is rocked!
Segal glances at the clock... BAM! Boulami nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Segal crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Segal is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

After winning the bout, Omar Boulami thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
