Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tuomari Hurmio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ode Jokinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hurmio's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Black Star. Ode Jokinen acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurmio lands with a straight right. Jokinen didn't see that one coming.
Jokinen misses with a leg kick.
Hurmio tries to clinch but Jokinen is having none of it.
Hurmio's corner calls for a 1-2. Hurmio obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Jokinen misses with a body shot.
Hurmio shoots for a double leg takedown but Jokinen sprawls well. He's pushed Hurmio's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jokinen misses with an uppercut. Hurmio saw that one coming.
Hurmio appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Hurmio dives in for a single leg takedown but Jokinen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Jokinen throws an overhand right that lands on Hurmio's shoulder, as Hurmio tries to avoid the shot.

Jokinen connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hurmio momentarily.

and Jokinen counters with a right hand to the body.
Jokinen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hurmio is fending him off so far but Jokinen persists. Nope, Hurmio circles away and we're back to standing.
Jokinen fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hurmio has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Jokinen now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Hurmio attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Jokinen keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Jokinen shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jokinen. Hurmio does a little dance to reset his feet.

Hurmio slaps away a takedown attempt from Jokinen, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Hurmio scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Jokinen counters with a right hand to the body.
Hurmio throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Hurmio does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Jokinen takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Hurmio takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Jokinen blocks the body kick.
Hurmio throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Jokinen looks to land a right hand but Hurmio moved out of range.
Hurmio appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Jokinen chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hurmio can pounce on him.
Jokinen tries a low kick but Hurmio avoids it.
Jokinen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Hurmio looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Jokinen is looking for a sweep. Hurmio is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Hurmio lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jokinen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hurmio is one step ahead there.
Hurmio is in close to Jokinen's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jokinen takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Hurmio misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Jokinen crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hurmio - the referee stops the clock and Jokinen gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hurmio. Jokinen manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Jokinen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hurmio's guard.

Jokinen stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Hurmio has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Jokinen manages to get his head free but now Hurmio has transitioned to an armbar! Jokinen grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Hurmio! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
