Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bo Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Corrigan!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Jackson is looking for a kimura here.

Jackson is trying to work for a kimura but Corrigan is defending well.
Jackson wants to pass to mount but Corrigan is defending the position.
Corrigan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jackson is working away from the top position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Corrigan looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Jackson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Jackson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Corrigan's head.

Corrigan is not content to let Jackson control the position.

Jackson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson is keen to just control but Corrigan is a slippery customer.
Jackson prevents Corrigan from improving his position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Corrigan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Corrigan.

Jackson drops back looking for a leg! Corrigan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Corrigan manages to kick Jackson off! Jackson jumps back into Corrigan's guard.
Jackson is breathing heavily.
Jackson throws a big elbow that misses.
Corrigan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jackson's guard.

Corrigan looking to sit in guard and control but Jackson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Corrigan has his feet on Jackson's thighs here. He's pushed Jackson off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Jackson screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mark Corrigan!
Mark Corrigan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
