Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kareem Riggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Greeve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kareem Riggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Greeve!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greeve circles away from the clinch attempt.

Greeve drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Greeve slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Greeve's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Riggs tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Greeve missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Greeve trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Riggs really is a fat lump.

Greeve postures up in Riggs's guard and throws a big left but Riggs blocks it.

Greeve decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Riggs, up you get!

Greeve scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Riggs is trying to get back to full guard.
Greeve stalling away here and it's allowed Riggs to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Greeve is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Riggs is on top in guard.

Greeve trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Greeve throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Riggs wants to stand but Greeve is controlling his posture from full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Riggs clinches.
Greeve gets underhooks to prevent Riggs's takedown attempt.

Greeve successfully pulls guard.
Riggs is looking to stand up but Greeve won't let him.
Greeve is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Greeve pulls Riggs in to control the position.
Riggs throwing strikes from guard but Greeve blocks nicely.

Greeve had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Riggs defends it easily.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Greeve looking for subs off his back but Riggs has passed one foot through into half guard.
Greeve is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fred Greeve dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Riggs pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Greeve shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Riggs napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Greeve wants to lay and pray for a moment but Riggs keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Riggs is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Greeve asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Greeve decides to stand back up. Greeve steps back and let's Riggs get back to his feet.
Riggs pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Greeve unleashes a big counter combination but Riggs bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Greeve fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Riggs to the ground. Greeve is now in Riggs's guard.
Greeve looking to pass the guard.
Riggs wants to sweep here but Greeve controlling him for the moment.
Greeve looking to sit in guard and control but Riggs gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


That's two minutes gone in the round.
Riggs is looking to stand up but Greeve won't let him.

Greeve is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Riggs defends well.

Greeve working for submissions but it's allowed Riggs to get to half guard.
Greeve is looking to control Riggs's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Greeve avoid being mounted?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Riggs stands up from half guard.
Greeve falls off balance throwing a combination

and Riggs decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Greeve's guard.
Greeve looking for a sweep. Not yet Greeve, not yet.

Riggs thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Riggs trying to control the position from guard on top but Greeve is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Greeve is working an open guard so Riggs takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Riggs fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Greeve, pushing him back against the cage.

Greeve gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Greeve controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Riggs looking for a sweep. Not yet Riggs, not yet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Greeve wants to control from the top but Riggs keeps moving.
Greeve is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Fred Greeve will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Greeve is looking to clinch.
Riggs appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Greeve.
Greeve trying to control the action but Riggs is working from the bottom.

Greeve has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Riggs avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Riggs doesn't manage to clinch there - Greeve circles away.
Greeve is looking for the big counter here.
Greeve has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Riggs gets caught napping as Greeve dives in and scores a takedown. Riggs manages to retain guard.

Riggs lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Riggs gets to his feet - Greeve follows without any prompting.
Greeve swats away the attempt to clinch by Riggs.
Greeve steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Riggs.
Riggs lands with a kick to the temple. Greeve shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Greeve gets a double leg takedown into Riggs's guard.
Greeve is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Greeve trying to control but Riggs is working from the bottom.
Riggs keeping full guard, as Greeve tries to pass.
Riggs bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Greeve's guard.

Greeve is looking to stand up but Riggs isn't so interested in that idea.
Riggs wants to stand and escape but instead Greeve has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.


That's three minutes gone in the round.
Greeve sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Greeve trying to control the position from guard on top but Riggs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Greeve is stalling in the full guard.
Fred Greeve has got the better of the ground game so far.
Greeve throwing strikes from guard but Riggs blocks nicely.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Riggs is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fred Greeve comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Greeve winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
