The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Irwin throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mitchell's head.

It looks like Jonah Mitchell has been cut.

Mitchell moves into range and clinches up with Irwin.
Mitchell takes an elbow to the temple.
Irwin has had enough of the clinch but Mitchell keeps him there for the moment.

Irwin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Irwin is looking to break free of the clinch but Mitchell has double underhooks.
Irwin tries to break the clinch but Mitchell is controlling the position.
Mitchell is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Irwin wants to break free but Mitchell has control.
Mitchell lands an elbow just above Irwin 's eye.

Mitchell gets a trip takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Irwin is kicking away at Mitchell from the bottom - trying to push off and stand up. Mitchell grabs hold of a leg and drops back for a heel hook! The two fighters roll across the mat, with Irwin trying to push Mitchell off... Irwin taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
