Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Odell Castillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Neumann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castillo wants to clinch.
Castillo sets himself, and Neumann steps forward looking for the clinch! Castillo avoids it this time.

Castillo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Castillo is trying to keep Neumann in close.

Neumann is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Castillo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Neumann advances position into side control!

You can see the frustration on Castillo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Castillo is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Neumann off and has taken his back!
Neumann trying to control the position but Castillo manages to sink in the hooks.

Castillo really is a fat lump.
Neumann turns into Castillo and is now in his guard.
Neumann working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Castillo's head.
Neumann chips away with some ground and pound.
Castillo is striking from the bottom but Neumann uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Castillo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Neumann is trying to control. Castillo wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Neumann tries to pass to full mount but Castillo defends it.

Neumann is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Castillo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Neumann.
Castillo wants to control but Neumann is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Neumann is looking to take a break and control but Castillo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neumann lands with some strikes.

It looks like Odell Castillo has been cut.
Castillo tries to hold on but Neumann pushes him away.
Castillo tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Castillo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Neumann fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Neumann lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Castillo is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Neumann is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Castillo can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Castillo is rocked!
Neumann unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Castillo wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Neumann celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
