The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Le Dreu looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Thomson is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Le Dreu clinches with his opponent.
Le Dreu's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Thomson lands a hook that snaps the head of Le Dreu backwards.
Thomson makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Thomson is pressed up against the ropes. Le Dreu has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Thomson down to the mat. Thomson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thomson creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Oh Le Dreu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Thomson lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Le Dreu to his knees! Thomson keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
