Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Obasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baki Hanma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hanma has chosen B-Complex - Beautiful Lies as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, John Obasi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Baki Hanma!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanma jabs Obasi to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Obasi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hanma.
Hanma misses with a wild combination.
It looked like Obasi was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Hanma looks to land a combination. Obasi sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Hanma cracks Obasi with a big right hand and Obasi goes down!

Obasi is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Obasi keeping moving, preventing Hanma from controlling successfully.
Oh Obasi is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Hanma thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Hanma trying to control but Obasi is working from the bottom.
Hanma sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Obasi's guard.
Obasi seems to have got his legs back now.
Hanma looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Hanma is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Hanma is looking for a kimura but Obasi is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hanma to get the leverage.

Hanma wants to work for an arm triangle but Obasi is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Hanma is looking to take a break and control but Obasi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hanma is looking for a kimura but Obasi is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hanma to get the leverage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Hanma has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Obasi defend it? Hanma steps over the head and cranks it - Obasi is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Hanma!

After the fight, Baki Hanma was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
