Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Donato Bilancia!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, De Bruyne!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bilancia walks into a straight right hand from Bruyne.
Bruyne feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bilancia's calf.
Bilancia stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Bruyne.

and Bilancia counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Bruyne!

Bilancia tries for a kimura but Bruyne is defending well.
Bilancia wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bruyne keeps working.

Bilancia tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bilancia has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That was a close round but I would say that Donato Bilancia will probably get the nod.

and Bruyne counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bilancia drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bruyne gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Bilancia is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bruyne to keep the fight standing.

Oh Bilancia is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A short right hand to the side of the head by Bruyne.
Bruyne unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Bilancia! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Bruyne is unloading with more strikes now! Bilancia drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). De Bruyne! De Bruyne retains his welterweight title!
