Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bung Popper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Monroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Popper might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Runnin with the Devil. Kyle Monroe has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Popper throws a combination that misses
and Popper takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Monroe throws a head kick that misses.
Monroe jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Popper tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Monroe was well out of range. Poor timing from Popper.
Monroe tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Popper looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Monroe can do anything to dispel that myth.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Popper connects with a nice short shot to Monroe's temple.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A big strike lands for Popper! That's really hurt Monroe and he's turned his back - Popper keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Popper jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bung Popper!
