Lannister comes into the arena with Black Veil Brides - Heart of Fire blaring out of the sound system. The key to victory for Gerrard Lannister has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lannister closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wang circles away.

Lannister closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wang quickly recovers to half guard.

Lannister is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wang defends it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lannister is thwarting Wang's attempts to control the position.

Lannister is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lannister is looking for a kimura but Wang is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lannister to get the leverage.

Lannister has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Wang postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Lannister in real trouble here! The ref calls for Lannister to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
