Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adolph Dorsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Samsonov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Christian Samsonov looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Adolph Dorsey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Christian Samsonov!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Ivan Kurochkin and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samsonov shoots in for a double leg but Dorsey sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Samsonov misses with a takedown

and Dorsey counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Dorsey is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Samsonov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dorsey.
Samsonov is looking for a sweep. Dorsey is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Samsonov keeps trying to improve his position.

Samsonov wants to get back to full guard but Dorsey has mounted him!
Dorsey could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Dorsey is working for a guillotine from mount but Samsonov frees his head quite easily.
Samsonov slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Dorsey is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Dorsey keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Samsonov has hold of Dorsey's hands but Dorsey slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Dorsey is just content to waste time from the top position. Samsonov takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Dorsey stands up and waves to Samsonov to follow him.
Samsonov tries to clinch there but Dorsey circles away.
Samsonov misses with a body shot.
Dorsey closes the distance and clinches up with Samsonov, looking for a takedown. Dorsey pushes Samsonov against the cage but Samsonov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dorsey fails with a takedown attempt.
No joy there for Samsonov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dorsey shoots in but Samsonov avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dorsey wants to control from the top but Samsonov keeps moving.

Samsonov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dorsey tries to avoid it but Samsonov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dorsey to the ground. Dorsey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Dorsey fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Samsonov avoids it really well and circles away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Samsonov tries to break free but Dorsey pushes him back against the cage.
Samsonov tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dorsey just stands there and leans against the cage.
Dorsey goes for a takedown attempt but Samsonov pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Samsonov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dorsey.

Samsonov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dorsey's guard.

Dorsey pulls Samsonov in close to his closed guard and prevents Samsonov from doing any damage or advancing position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Samsonov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Samsonov tries to free his leg and advance position but Dorsey is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Samsonov won't allow Dorsey to get back to his feet.

Dorsey has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Samsonov is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Dorsey stalling in the clinch but Samsonov improves position.
Samsonov has Dorsey pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dorsey manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
A bit of stalling here from Dorsey.
Dorsey is looking to control Samsonov's arms but Samsonov gets an underhook and turns him. Now Dorsey has his back to the cage.

Samsonov tries to circle away but Dorsey has him pinned against the cage.
Dorsey gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Samsonov.
Dorsey tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Samsonov smiles and moves away.

Dorsey darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Dorsey scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Samsonov is looking for a sweep. Dorsey is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Samsonov is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.

Dorsey looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Dorsey throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Samsonov wants to control but Dorsey is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Christian Samsonov will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Dorsey attempts a counter takedown but Samsonov avoids it well and moves away.

Dorsey shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Samsonov manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Samsonov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dorsey drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dorsey jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Samsonov moves into full guard.

Samsonov working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Dorsey has passed into half guard!

Dorsey decides to return to a standing position.

Dorsey shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dorsey showed some decent athleticism there.

Dorsey is looking for a kimura but Samsonov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dorsey to get the leverage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Samsonov pushes Dorsey off looking to stand but Dorsey dives back in and keeps control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Samsonov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dorsey's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dorsey's back!

Samsonov is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Dorsey has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Dorsey looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Adolph Dorsey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Dorsey is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Samsonov gets his way!
