The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Brown as he jumps to the side.
Jon has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Demon's Elite Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Jon dives in for a single leg takedown but Brown sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Jon fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brown sprawls well initially but Jon persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Brown is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jon pulls his head out easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brown does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Brown has his foot on Jon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jon works his way back into a safe position though.

Jon is sitting in close to Brown's body. Brown has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Jon is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Jon is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Brown.
