Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shane Austin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan Massive!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and Chris Dean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Massive does no damage.
It looked like Austin wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Austin looks to score with a jab to the body but Massive is just out of range.
Massive tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Austin throws a body shot but no joy.
Shane Austin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Ryan Massive has been cut.
Massive has his takedown stuffed
and Austin counters with a nice body shot.
Massive drops his hands momentarily and Austin takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Massive misses with a takedown
enabling Austin to counter with a crisp jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Austin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Massive circles away quickly and effectively.
Massive fails in his attempt to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Massive walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Austin checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
It looked like Austin wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Austin clobbers Massive with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Austin has been working on his boxing with his coaches at LOD-Guts & Glory Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Massive throws a leg kick
and Austin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Massive looks to land a left hand but Austin moved out of range nicely.
Massive dives in and grabs Austin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Austin pushes down on Massive's head and hops out.
Shane Austin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Massive.
Massive fails with a takedown attempt.
Austin drops Massive with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Massive! Austin dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
