Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between The Hound (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, The Hound!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnny Silver!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver misses with a series of wild punches.
Decent striking displayed by Silver there.


It looks like The Hound has been cut.
Silver takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Silver loads up on a big right hand but Hound slips the punch.
Hound ducks under a wild hook from Silver.
Silver takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Hound just misses with a punch to the body.
A big left from Silver misses.
Hound throws the left hand but Silver avoids the punch easily.
Hound scores with a nice strike.
Hound throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hound throws a lazy right hand but Silver sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Silver lands a jab-cross combination.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hound keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Silver.
Silver bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Hound blocks a leg kick.
Hound tries to counter with a takedown but Silver is quick to defend against it.
Silver is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

A jab from Hound misses.
A countering left hand to the body from Silver misses.
A slapping leg kick lands for Silver.
Hound misses with an uppercut.
Silver jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hound throws an overhand right that lands on Silver's shoulder, as Silver tries to avoid the shot.
Hound avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hound takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Hound feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Silvers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Silver throws the left hand but Hound avoids the punch easily.

Hound decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Well, if Hound is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Silver won't allow Hound to pass to mount.

Silver wants to improve his position but Hound is controlling well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silver can do anything to dispel that myth.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silver wants to control but Hound is keeping busy.
Hound looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Hound is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silver is just riding it out for now. Hound eventually gives up the hold.
Silver felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Silver is refusing to be controlled, as Hound sits in half guard.

Hound is controlling the pace.
Hound is thwarting Silver's attempts to control the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
A telegraphed right hand from Hound misses the target.
Hound tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Silver manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hound scores with a hook.
Hound bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hound feinted with a counter takedown.
Hound on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Hound throws a lazy right hand but Silver sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Silver looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Silver scores with a sloppy right hand. Hound should have avoided that one.
Silver throws a hook but Hound avoids it easily.
Hound throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Silver sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Silver lands with an uppercut that bounces Hound off the cage and back into range.
Hound moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Hound is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Hound takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silver throws a hook to the side of Hound's head but Hound sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hound takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Silver connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Silver scores with a shot to the body.
Hound looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Silver throws the left hand but Hound avoids the punch easily.

Hound connects with a nice looking jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnny Silver dominated that round.
The cut man is working on The Hound's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Silver takes one to the chin there.

Hound shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Silver napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Hound is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Silver has escaped the position, nice work there.
Hound wants to control but Silver is keeping him busy.
Hound tries to advance to mount but Silver denies him.
Hound is looking to take a break and control but Silver is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hound is trying to get an arm triangle but Silver is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silver is not content to let Hound control the position.

Hound swings around for an armbar but Silver sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hound's guard.
Hound trying to keep a closed guard but Silver is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hound is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Hound seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Silver trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Silver must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Silver won't allow Hound to sweep him here.

Hound wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hound is on top in guard.

Hound passes Silver's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Silver manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Hound is keen to just control but Silver is a slippery customer.

Hound is really struggling to control Silver but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Silver really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hound. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Silver wants to improve his position but Hound is controlling well.
Hound wants to take a breather but Silver is having none of it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Silver slaps away a takedown attempt from Hound, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Hound fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silver sprawls well initially but Hound persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Hound throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hound fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silver manages to avoid it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Silver! But no joy.
Silver ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Hound looks to score with a jab to the body but Silver is just out of range.
A slow jab from Hound misses its intended target.
Hound lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silver circles away quickly and effectively.
Hound ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silver moves away.
Silver moves out of range as Hound strikes.
Hound looks to throw the jab but Silver is out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Silver is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Hound has a couple of punches blocked by Silver.
Silver blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Hound lands a nice uppercut.
Hound can't find room to land a body shot as Silver controls the action.
Silver is trying to break the clinch but Hound is controlling him.
Hound tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Silver's elbow.

Hound changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Silver fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Silver darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Silver slips a jab from Hound.
Silver uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hound.
Hound jabs Silver right on the nose. Silver blinks but takes it well.
Hound will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Silver on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Silver fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hound looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Silver smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hound fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silver manages to avoid it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Silver! But no joy.
Silver misses the shot to the body.
Silver thuds a left hand into Hound's body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Silver cracks Hound with a good jab.
Silver throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hound.
Silver throws a right and a left that both miss.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hound. Silver does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hound cracks Silver with a good jab.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to The Hound.
I think Hound has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
