The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phelps tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Khalifa on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Khalifa lands a high kick to the side of Phelps's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Khalifa dives into guard, looking to finish.

Phelps is rocked!

Johnnie Phelps's cut is getting worse.
Khalifa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Phelps swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Oh Phelps is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Khalifa loads up on a big left hand. Phelps felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Khalifa looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Phelps can't hide his disappointment, as Khalifa celebrates the victory.
