Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darcy Kyryluik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Itula Maafala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Darcy Kyryluik has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Darcy Kyryluik seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maafala drives through and clinches with Kyryluik against the cage.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Maafala has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Maafala remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
