Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rau Utu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doomsday Drost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drost has chosen Kilpi - Sielut Iskee Tulta as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rau Utu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 16 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Doomsday Drost!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drost moves out of range of the body kick from Utu.
A nice leg kick lands there from Utu.
A left lands for Utu.

It looks like Doomsday Drost has been cut.
Utu bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Drost's head backwards.
Utu is looking to land body kicks.
Nice shot by Utu.
Utu just misses with a punch to the body.
Utu tries to work over Drost's front leg with a kick but Drost checks it.
Drost now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Utu cracks a nice hook into Drost's ribs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Drost waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Utu.
Drost has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Utu scores with a jab. Drost acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

That has opened up Doomsday Drost's cut even more.

Drost swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Drost takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A little jabbing left from Drost on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Utu throws a push kick but Drost slaps the foot to one side.

Utu throws a body punch but Drost moves out of range.
Utu jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Drost uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Utu.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Drost avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Utu takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Drost takes a swing at Utu's ribcage but misses.
Utu is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Drost lands with a straight right. Utu didn't see that one coming.
Drost thows a left - swing and a miss!
Utu uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Drost.

Drost lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Rau Utu's cut is getting worse.

The cut above Doomsday Drost's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Rau Utu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Utu slips under a jab from Drost.
Drost uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Utu.
It seemed like Drost was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Utu throws a leg kick
enabling Drost to counter with a crisp jab.
Drost stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Utu.
Utu lands a really nice looking cross but Drost seems unphased.
Utu throws a hook to the side of Drost's head but Drost sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Drost cracks Utu with an open hand slap.

Rau Utu's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Utu on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Utu misses the shot to the body.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Utu, right into the meat.
Utu defending well as Drost loads up on a big left hand.
Drost walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Utu lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Drost circles away quickly and effectively.
Drost tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Utu swivels and escapes.
Drost misses with a straight right.
Utu lands a front kick.
Utu stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Drost throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Utu delivers a nice body kick.
Utu lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rau Utu dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Utu throws a low kick but Drost moves out of range easily.
Utu throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Drost throws out a counter right but Utu avoids it with no problem.
Utu takes a swing at Drost's ribcage but misses.
Utu scores with a one two! Drost had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Rau Utu is winning the standup battle so far.
Utu throws a lazy right hand but Drost sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Drost gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Utu.
Drost looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Utu is fending him off so far but Drost persists. Nope, Utu circles away and we're back to standing.
Utu throws out a loose jab but Drost uses good head movement to avoid it.
Drost swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Utu feints and then cracks Drost's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Drost down.

Utu pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Despite the aggression on Drost's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Utu lands a nice leg kick that just misses Drost's sensitive parts.
Utu is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Drost can do to turn this around?

Drost throws a looping overhand right but Utu ducks down to avoid it.
Sloppy strikes from Drost. Those never looked like landing.

A clash of legs there as Drost blocks the low kick.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Drost! But no joy.
Utu throws an overhand right that lands on Drost's shoulder, as Drost tries to avoid the shot.
Drost fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Utu manages to avoid it.
Utu lunges at Drost with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Drost's hand.

Doomsday Drost's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Utu throws a head kick that Drost semi-blocks.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Doomsday Drost's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
