Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Liquid Gold!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Projekti Mies!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gold moves out of range of the strikes.
Gold swings widly with a right hand
and Mies counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
A slow jab from Gold misses its intended target.
Mies misses with a straight left.
An attempted straight right counter from Gold misses the target.
Gold keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Mies tries to bum rush Gold with a series of wild strikes but Gold uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mies ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Mies walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Gold connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Gold throws a looping overhand right but Mies ducks down to avoid it.
As Gold backs off Mies throws a huge counter combo but Gold manages to avoid it all.
Gold takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Mies takes a swing at Gold's ribcage but misses.
Gold looks to land a right hand but Mies moved out of range.
Gold uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mies.
Gold is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Mies's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
A good leg kick by Gold.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mies fails to land with a series of punches.
Gold takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Mies jabbing away but nothing is landing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A big left from Gold misses.
Mies slips under a jab from Gold.
A slow jab from Gold misses its intended target.
Gold throws out a loose jab but Mies uses good head movement to avoid it.
A little jabbing left from Mies on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Gold lands a jab to Mies's midsection.
Gold throws an overhand right that lands on Mies's shoulder, as Mies tries to avoid the shot.
Gold lands a jab-cross combination.
Mies ducks under a wild hook from Gold.
Mies lands with a right hand.
Mies pivots, looking for a leg kick but Gold is out of range and Mies settles back down.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gold lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mies has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mies and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Mies scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Gold is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Mies connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gold's hands.
Oh Gold is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gold punishes Mies's body with a nice straight punch.
Gold just misses with a punch to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gold misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gold seems to have got his legs back now.
Gold walks into a jab.
Mies has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Mies plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Gold to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Gold just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Projekti Mies!
