Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny Best!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lars Kenardly!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kenardly scoring well with a low kick there.
Kenardly connects with a single shot there.
Best looks to throw the jab but Kenardly is out of range.
Best has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kenardly finds it's way round the side to connect with Best's head.
Best throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Kenardly swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Johnny Best seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Best takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Kenardly slips a straight right by Best.
A bone on bone clash there as Kenardly blocks the leg kick.
Kenardly lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Best misses with the combination.
Kenardly scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Best has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kenardly avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Best wants to take the fight to the mat but Kenardly manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Best is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kenardly pulls him back up using the underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Best. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Best turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Best manages to end up in side control.

Best tries to score with some ground and pound. Kenardly controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Best looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Best trying to control the action but Kenardly is working from the bottom.
Best tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Best throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Kenardly works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Best is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kenardly defends it well.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Best wants to land a leg kick but Kenardly is out of range.
A little jabbing left from Kenardly on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Best throws a wild hook but Kenardly just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Best gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Kenardly raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lars Kenardly!
After winning the bout, Lars Kenardly thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
