Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aidan McVeigh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saleem Al Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McVeigh comes to the cage accompanied by E-Dubble - Let Me Oh. Al Khan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Three Days Grace - Scared. Aidan McVeigh could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Saleem Al Khan's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aidan McVeigh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Saleem Al Khan!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Khan defending well as McVeigh loads up on a big left hand.
Al Khan with the counter takedown but McVeigh avoids it easily.
A head kick from McVeigh lands but Al Khan takes it in his stride.
We've been told by McVeigh's head coaches at Rape Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Al Khan darts in looking for a takedown but McVeigh gets double underhooks and turns Al Khan into the cage.
McVeigh tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
A nice leg kick lands there from McVeigh.
Al Khan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Al Khan closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
McVeigh thows a left - swing and a miss!
McVeigh throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McVeigh chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Al Khan can pounce on him.
No luck for Al Khan with that takedown attempt.
McVeigh looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Aidan McVeigh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Saleem Al Khan.
Al Khan checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
McVeigh goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Aidan McVeigh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McVeigh tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Al Khan was well out of range. Poor timing from McVeigh.
McVeigh ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Al Khan moves away.
McVeigh lands with a kick to the temple. Al Khan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Al Khan shoots in for a double leg but McVeigh sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
McVeigh lands a head kick!
McVeigh fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Al Khan has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McVeigh misses with a body kick.
Al Khan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from McVeigh.
Aidan McVeigh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Al Khan shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McVeigh sprawls well. McVeigh wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Al Khan gets slowly back to his feet.
McVeigh throws a quick counter head kick but Al Khan was just out of range.
McVeigh fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Al Khan checks it well.

Al Khan scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Al Khan trying to control the position but McVeigh is working away.

Al Khan is working to tighten his grip on McVeigh's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. McVeigh has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Al Khan is really squeezing tight and eventually McVeigh passes out! Al Khan breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Saleem Al Khan!
Saleem Al Khan made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'I am the freedom fighter, I'll fight for my people until death, and represent my land everywhere I go, look out for me!'.
