Jenkins comes to the cage accompanied by Mary Jane. Thurgood Jenkins had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Wei's calf.
Wei moves away from the strike by Jenkins.

Jenkins dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Wei. That did some damage!

Zhengtao Wei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jenkins is breathing heavily.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Wei creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wei lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jenkins backwards.
Oh Jenkins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A right hook to the body lands for Wei.

Wei lands a big left hand right to the temple and Jenkins goes down!

Wei is keen to just control but Jenkins is a slippery customer.
Wei thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jenkins's head.
Jenkins seems to have got his legs back now.
Jenkins is refusing to be controlled, as Wei sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Wei missing with a left hand there. Jenkins was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Jenkins avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wei chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Wei steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Jenkins. That one must have hurt.
Wei looks for the body kick but Jenkins saw that one coming.
Jenkins appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Jenkins finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Nice uppercut there from Wei.
Wei thuds a left hand into Jenkins's body.
Wei connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Jenkins checks the leg kick.
Jenkins walks straight into a right hand from Wei - that's dropped him! Wei jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Jenkins from any more punishment! Jenkins complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
