And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Taras Shevchenko!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brakeley scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


It looks like Taras Shevchenko has been cut.
Brakeley throws a shot to the body.
Brakeley takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Shevchenko takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Brakeley connects with a crisp jab.
Brakeley swinging wildly here.
Shevchenko is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Shevchenko keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Shevchenko changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Brakeley uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.


That has opened up Taras Shevchenko's cut even more.
Shevchenko walks into a straight right hand from Brakeley.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shevchenko avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Shevchenko takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Brakeley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shevchenko sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Brakeley swings for the body but Shevchenko moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brakeley throws a low kick, looking for Shevchenko's leg but Shevchenko calmly moves out of range.
Shevchenko is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Brakeley lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Brakeley throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Shevchenko stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Shevchenko steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Brakeley.
Shevchenko tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Brakeley lands a glancing blow to the side of Shevchenko's head.


The cut above Taras Shevchenko's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Shevchenko takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Brakeley is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Brakeley scores with a jab to the head.
Brakeley pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Brakeley thuds his right hand into Shevchenko's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Brakeley is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Brakeley throws a chopping leg kick but Shevchenko manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Brakeley thows a left - swing and a miss!
Brakeley throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Brakeley misses with a few strikes there.
We've been told by Brakeley's head coaches at Vendetta Alliance London Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Brakeley lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Shevchenko at a distance.
Brakeley stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Shevchenko takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.


Taras Shevchenko's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Brakeley swinging wildly here.
Brakeley cracks Shevchenko with an open hand slap.
Shevchenko defending well as Brakeley loads up on a big left hand.
Michael Brakeley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brakeley wants to slow Shevchenko down by chopping away at his legs.
Brakeley misses with a wild body shot.
Shevchenko unleashes a big counter combination but Brakeley bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Brakeley misses with a low kick.
And Shevchenko tries to counter it with a takedown but Brakeley pushes his down on his head and steps out.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brakeley throws a big shot that misses.
Good work by Shevchenko as he checks the leg kick.
Brakeley scores with a jab. Shevchenko acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Brakeley listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Taras Shevchenko's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Michael Brakeley!
Michael Brakeley bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
