The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guttuierez connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Payne's hands.
Payne tries a head kick but it misses.

Guttuierez feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Paynes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Payne throws a leg kick
enabling Guttuierez to counter with a crisp jab.
Guttuierez has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Payne is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Payne fails in his attempt to clinch.
Payne throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Guttuierez cracks Payne with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Payne throws a sloppy head kick and Guttuierez moves out of range easily.
We've been told by Payne's head coaches at The Factory that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Payne was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Payne closes the distance and clinches up with Guttuierez, looking for a takedown. Payne pushes Guttuierez against the cage but Guttuierez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Guttuierez throws out a powerful jab.
Guttuierez takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Guttuierez lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Guttuierez.

Payne is rocked!

Oh Payne is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Payne tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Guttuierez was well out of range. Poor timing from Payne.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Guttuierez! But no joy.
Oscar Guttuierez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Guttuierez Rushes Payne and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Payne is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Guttuierez Piles on the pressure and Payne crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
