The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnsom drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ismailov wants to stand but Johnsom has his arm trapped.

Ismailov seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Johnsom has his takedown stuffed
and Ismailov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ismailov paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Ismailov throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Johnsom goes for a double leg but Ismailov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ismailov continues to drive forward.

Ismailov feints a jab promting Johnsom to slip. Ismailov then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Johnsom slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Ismailov swats away the attempt to clinch by Johnsom.
Ismailov lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ismailov, as that shot connected.

Ismailov fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Oh Johnsom is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ismailov connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Johnsom covering up! Ismailov comes in with a big uppercut and Johnsom goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
