Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bary Windam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jenik Krejza!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krejza is trying hard to land a takedown here. Windam sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Krejza has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Windam is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Windam shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Windam was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Krejza is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Windam is controlling him well.

Windam is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Krejza knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Krejza defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Windam's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Krejza really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Windam. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Krejza throws a sloppy head kick and Windam moves out of range easily.

It looked like Windam was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Bary Windam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Windam looking to score a takedown here. Krejza is defending well but Windam drives through and ends up in Krejza's guard.
Krejza controls Windam momentarily but Windam frees himself.
Windam won't allow Krejza to get back to his feet.
Krejza wants to sweep here but Windam controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Windam's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Windam might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Windam decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Windam cracks Krejza with a right hand to the side of the head.

Krejza avoids a punch combination nicely.
Krejza tries to clinch but Windam moves out of range.
Windam throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Krejza stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Windam.
Krejza is breathing heavily.

Windam decides to stand up, so the ref orders Krejza to his feet.

Krejza is looking to stand up but Windam isn't so interested in that idea.

Krejza is working an open guard so Windam takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Krejza moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Krejza gets caught flat footed, as Windam shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Krejza keeping moving, preventing Windam from controlling successfully.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Krejza wants to get back to his feet but Windam is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Windam manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Krejza on his heels. He'll look to pass Krejza's guard now, I'm sure.
Windam stands and throws Krejza's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Krejza tries to improve position but can't.
Krejza looks to move to half guard but instead Windam has passed into mount! Damn!

Windam get's back to his feet.
Windam lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Windam manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Krejza on his heels. He'll look to pass Krejza's guard now, I'm sure.

Windam drops back looking for a leg! Krejza is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Krejza manages to kick Windam off! Windam jumps back into Krejza's guard.
Bary Windam overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Windam with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Windam postures up.

Windam decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Krejza, up you get!
Bary Windam is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Windam throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Windam chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Windam connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Windam connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Krejza's hands.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Windam lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Krejza goes down and covers up as Windam starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bary Windam!
