PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sione Tokalu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joshua Uso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uso has chosen Get Up as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Sione Tokalu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Joshua Uso!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Uso shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tokalu is trying to defend but Uso finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Tokalu looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Uso slips a nice elbow through Tokalu's hands, connecting with Tokalu's forehead.
Uso uses his free foot to push down on Tokalu's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tokalu.
Uso scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Tokalu?

It looks like Sione Tokalu has been cut.
Uso cracks Tokalu with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Tokalu is rocked!
Tokalu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Uso on the ground.
Uso postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Tokalu in real trouble here! The ref calls for Tokalu to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joshua Uso!
