Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tor Troeng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vapun Aukio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Aukio's choice of entrance music: 2CELLOS (Sulic & Hauser) - Smooth Criminal. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aukio fails to land with a series of punches.
Troeng has been working on his boxing with his coaches at St Petersburg MMA Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Troeng takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Troeng scores with the left hand. Aukio knows he should have avoided that one.
Aukio throws a predictable looking body shot
and Troeng counters with a right hand to the body.
Aukio fails with the takedown
and Troeng counters with a nice body shot.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Aukio has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Troeng counters with a one-two to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Troeng lands a left and a right that send Aukio crashing to the mat, dazed. Troeng thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

and Troeng scores with a counter punch that sends Aukio to the canvas! Troeng smells blood - he's punishing Aukio with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Aukio has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tor Troeng!
Tor Troeng decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
