Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viktor Nova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henry's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Unashamed. John Henry has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Viktor Nova!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Franklyn Lucas and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Henry.

Henry connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Nova fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Henry looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Nova has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Henry scores with a jab.
Nova steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Henry. That one must have hurt.
Henry tries a head kick but it misses.
Henry throws a leg kick but Nova sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Nova takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Henry throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Jab, jab by Nova - just one landing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Henry lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Nova has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Nova and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Nova drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Henry defends it well.

Nova fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Henry on the side of the head.
Henry definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Henry throws a sloppy head kick and Nova moves out of range easily.
Henry sets himself, and Nova steps forward looking for the clinch! Henry avoids it this time.
Nova misses with a lunging right hand
and Henry counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Nova goes for a double leg but Henry avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Henry continues to drive forward.
Henry misses with a takedown attempt
and Nova counters with a series of strikes. Henry will be more careful next time no doubt.
Nova misses with a looping right.
Nova throws a shot to the body.
Henry keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nova slips a straight right by Henry.

Henry throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Nova on the side of the head.

Henry shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Henry was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Henry creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Henry is looking to take a break and control but Nova is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Nova is looking to regain half guard here but Henry keeps moving and retains side control.
Henry lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Henry wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nova keeps working.
Henry cracks Nova with an elbow. That is naaassty.

John Henry dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Nova scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
John Henry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nova sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Henry takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Henry swings away with a body shot that misses
and Nova counters with a two punch combo.
Nova scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Nova throws a series of punches but Henry avoids them all with ease.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Henry, as that shot connected.
Nova blocks a leg kick.
Nova is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Henry takes a swing at Nova's ribcage but misses.
Henry ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nova moves away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nova throws a right hand that misses
and Henry lands a stunning uppercut that sends Nova to the mat!
Nova is still in real trouble! Can Henry finish him?

Nova looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Henry is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Nova is hurt! He's hurt bad - Henry fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Nova from any more punishment! Congratulations to Henry! Great finish!
