Lankari comes into a darkened arena with his song building. AC/DC - Thunderstruck kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Coxall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
19 - 29 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hans Lankari!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coxall stuffs the takedown attempt from Lankari. Lankari gets slowly back to his feet.
Coxall stuns Lankari with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

and Coxall counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Coxall pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Coxall feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lankari's calf.
Coxall throws a head kick that misses.
Coxall lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lankari circles away quickly and effectively.
Lankari unleashes a big counter combination but Coxall bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Coxall.
Lankari with the counter takedown but Coxall avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lankari throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lankari shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Alex Coxall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hans Lankari.
Coxall missing with a left hand there. Lankari was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Lankari fails to land the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Coxall enables Lankari to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Coxall manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lankari postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Lankari stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Coxall throws up his legs and catches Lankari in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Lankari tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Coxall! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Alex Coxall!
In defeat, Hans Lankari stepped up to the mic, saying 'No excuses here. Congrats.'.
