And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Manchester Red!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boycheck stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Boycheck has been working on his boxing with his coaches at St Petersburg MMA Gym in the buildup to the fight.

Boycheck has closed the distance and engaged Red in a clinch.
Boycheck is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Red is defending well for now.
Red prevents the takedown attempt.

Boycheck has Red pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Boycheck pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Red tumbling to the mat - Boycheck dives into Red's guard.

Boycheck is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Boycheck slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Boycheck postures up in Red's guard and throws a big left but Red blocks it.
Red really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boycheck. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Red can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boycheck is looking to work some ground and pound but Red has wrist control.
Boycheck controls from within his opponent's guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Red throws a looping overhand right but Boycheck ducks down to avoid it.
Boycheck lands with a right hand.
Boycheck tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Red paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Red gets tackled into the cage by Boycheck. Boycheck maintains the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boycheck throws a knee to the head but misses.

Boycheck manages to break the clinch.
Boycheck stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Red.
Boycheck fails with an attempt to clinch.
Red is looking to chop away at Boycheck's legs.
Boycheck tries to clinch but Red moves out of range.
Mitka Boycheck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Red goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Mitka Boycheck has been cut.
Red circles away from the clinch attempt.
Red doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Boycheck avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Boycheck drops down looking for a counter takedown but Red sprawls and moves away.

Boycheck drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Boycheck is trying to get an arm triangle but Red is defending well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Red takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Boycheck is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Red is trying to escape and Boycheck transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Red is forced to tap! Nice work there by Boycheck! Very nice indeed!
