Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chris Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Turd Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Griffin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

It looks like Chris Griffin has been cut.

Ferguson stuffs the takedown attempt from Griffin. Griffin gets slowly back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ferguson connects with a right hand. Griffin shakes it off.

Griffin is rocked!
Ferguson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Griffin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Oh Griffin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ferguson thuds a left hand into Griffin's body.
Griffin seems to have got his legs back now.
Ferguson throws a shot to the body.

Griffin gets a double leg takedown into Ferguson's guard.
Griffin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ferguson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Griffin tries to free his leg and advance position but Ferguson is retaining full guard.
Ferguson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Griffin is controlling him.

Griffin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Ferguson is looking to stand up but Griffin isn't so interested in that idea.
Ferguson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Griffin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Ferguson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Griffin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Griffin pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Griffin takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Griffin looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Griffin wants to clinch up but Ferguson keeps it at a distance.
Griffin fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Griffin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ferguson throws a shot to the body.
Turd Ferguson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Griffin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Ferguson misses with a double jab.
A nice combination there by Ferguson.
A nice leg kick lands there from Griffin.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ferguson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Griffin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Griffin is breathing heavily.
Griffin takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
A punch lands to the side of Griffin 's head but he takes it in his stride.
BOOM! Ferguson lands a beautiful left hook that drops Griffin. Griffin tries to recover but Ferguson is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Griffin lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Turd Ferguson!
In his post fight interview, Turd Ferguson started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
