Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Samin Ax (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I'd Love to Knock the Hell out of You by Hank Williams, Jr. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Samin Ax!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Ryan!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ax stuffs the takedown attempt from Ryan. Ryan gets slowly back to his feet.
Ax looks to throw the jab but Ryan is out of range.
Ax tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ryan was well out of range. Poor timing from Ax.
Samin Ax seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ax scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Ax fails to land with a series of punches.
Ax misses with a hook

and Ryan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Ax is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Ryan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Ax is pulling down on Ryan's head. It's preventing any offense from Ryan, at least for the moment.
Ax is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at MANTIS MMA that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Ax's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
