Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robbie Biggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Fjera!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Biggs misses with a low kick.
Fjera misses with a straight left.
Biggs avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Biggs jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Fjera swings widly with a right hand
and Biggs counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.


It looks like Nick Fjera has been cut.
Fjera showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Biggs.
Fjera throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Fjera misses with a hook
and Biggs counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fjera tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Biggs was well out of range. Poor timing from Fjera.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fjera tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Biggs swivels and escapes.
Fjera throws a sloppy body shot
letting Biggs counter with a right hand.
Biggs misses with an uppercut.
Fjera throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Biggs counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Fjera thinking.

and Biggs counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Fjera has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Fjera throws a looping overhand right but Biggs ducks down to avoid it.
Fjera keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fjera feints the counter takedown.
Biggs walks into a jab.
Biggs thows a body kick. Fjera tries to catch it but that hurt him.
A nice inside leg kick there by Biggs. That's going to slow Fjera down.
Biggs tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Nick Fjera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Biggs takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Fjera connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Biggs goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fjera throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Biggs counters with a low kick, right behind Fjera 's knee.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Biggs slips under a jab from Fjera.
As Fjera backs away, Biggs returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Biggs lands with a thumping leg kick.
Biggs looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Biggs staying out of range there.
Biggs has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Biggs there as he acknowledges the shot.
Biggs misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Fjera.
Biggs connects with a right hand. Fjera shakes it off.
Biggs takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fjera misses with an uppercut. Biggs saw that one coming.

Fjera drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Fjera won't allow Biggs to sweep him here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fjera trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Biggs bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fjera's guard.


That's three minutes gone in the round.

Fjera has his foot on Biggs's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Biggs works his way back into a safe position though.

Fjera working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Biggs doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Biggs manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Fjera has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Biggs should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Fjera has tightened it up now! Biggs should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Nick Fjera!
Nick Fjera decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
