Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clark Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexi Laiho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexi Laiho will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clark Greene!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexi Laiho!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greene tries to clinch up but Laiho circles away and keeps his distance.
Greene shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Laiho pinned against the cage. Laiho gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Laiho on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Greene tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Laiho swivels and escapes.
Laiho lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Laiho dips to his left and cracks Greene with an uppercut!


It looks like Clark Greene has been cut.
Greene fails with an attempt to clinch.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Greene.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Laiho regains half guard there - taking advantage of Greene's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Greene seems to be working for a kimura but Laiho defends the submission attempt.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Laiho tries to bum rush Greene with a series of wild strikes but Greene uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Greene has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Greene has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Laiho is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Greene.
Greene tries to bench press Laiho off him but Laiho keeps the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Laiho decides to stand up, so the ref orders Greene to his feet.
Nice takedown defense from Laiho. No joy for Greene on that attempt.
Greene takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Oooooh!!! Laiho has knocked Greene down with a huge combo! Laiho steps away and waves a wobbly Greene back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Laiho circles away from the clinch attempt.
Laiho takes a swing at Greene's ribcage but misses.
Greene dodges the punch combination from Laiho.
Laiho goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Greene looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Greene passes to full mount!
Greene with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Laiho wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Greene.

Greene wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Laiho tries to buck Greene off but he can't manage it.
Greene fails to take his opponent's back.

Greene working for a guillotine from mount but Laiho is in no mood to give up.
Clark Greene overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Greene looking to control but Laiho is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Greene is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Laiho is surviving well by controlling Greene's body position as best he can.
Clark Greene has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Laiho is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Laiho is squirming around, avoiding Greene's attempts to control the action.
Greene is looking to work his way around to Laiho's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Greene wants to finish this one by submission but Laiho is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Greene.
Greene wants to take his opponent's back but Laiho doesn't allow it.

Greene has hold of Laiho's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Laiho manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Greene moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Laiho has worked his arm free - good work by Laiho!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Greene goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Laiho has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Greene but great work by Laiho.

Laiho decides to stand back up. Laiho steps back and let's Greene get back to his feet.

Greene takes the fight into the clinch.
Laiho can't break the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Laiho is looking to break free of the clinch but Greene has double underhooks.
Laiho managing to block the knees to the body from Greene.
Greene looking to throw knees to the head but Laiho is blocking nicely.
Laiho blocks an uppercut.
Greene doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Greene throws a head punch that misses.
Nice body punch from Greene.
Greene struggles to land a body shot inside as Laiho controls his hands.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Greene.
Greene throws a punch but it's blocked by Laiho.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Greene tries to work over Laiho's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Laiho breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Clark Greene seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Laiho uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Greene.
Greene tries to clinch but Laiho is having none of it.

And that's the end of the fight!

I think Laiho has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
