Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arturo Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Atilla II (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Arturo Shields!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Atilla II!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

II instigates a clinch.
Shields jumps guard but II turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
II jumps guard but Shields turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
II drops down looking for an ankle pick but Shields pulls his leg out and moves away.
II will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Shields tried to counter with a leg kick but II avoided it.
Arturo Shields has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Atilla II.

II moves into the clinch.
II leaning his opponent against the cage.
II is trying to drag Shields to the mat but Shields just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

II breaks from the clinch.

II clinches with his opponent.
Shields gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from II.

II pulls guard.
Shields trying to control the position from guard on top but II is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Shields slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Shields could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Shields trying to control but II is working from the bottom.
II is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Shields is controlling him.
Shields wants to control from the top but II keeps moving.

Shields is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
II shoots in but no luck this time.

II darts in and clinches Shields up against the cage.
II looking for a takedown.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, II creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Shields jumps into guard, dragging II to the mat.
Shields pulls II in close to prevent any damage.
II wants to pass the guard but Shields is keeping the position.

Shields is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. II presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
II is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Shields misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
II is looking to control Shields's arms but Shields gets an underhook and turns him. Now II has his back to the cage.
II is trying to break the clinch but Shields is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Atilla II will probably get the nod.

II shoots for a takedown but Shields saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

II closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Shields's guard.
Shields wants to sweep but no luck.

Shields is working an open guard so II takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

II instigates a clinch.
II wants to break free but Shields has control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
II has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Shields after a bit of a struggle.
Shields jumps guard but II stands there with Shields around his waist. Shields gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Shields is trying to pull guard but II turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

II tries to throw a body punch but Shields avoids it by throwing II back against the cage.
II is breathing heavily.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Shields looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
II tries to score a body lock takedown but Shields shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Shields manages to pull guard.
II wants to control from the top but Shields keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

II got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shields has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, II has managed to get both his arms back between Shields's legs - danger averted.
Shields is trying to keep II in close.

Shields looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

II wants to pass the guard but Shields is keeping the position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Shields keeping moving, preventing II from controlling successfully.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Shields tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

II drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Shields might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

II looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Shields is trying to get back to half guard.
Shields can't do much from the bottom here.

Atilla II showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

It looked like Shields wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
II moves out of range as Shields strikes.

II gets control of Shields's arms and successfully pulls guard. II will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

II will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Shields trying to control but II is working from the bottom.
Shields prevents II from getting back to his feet.
II looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Shields postures up in II's guard and throws a big left but II blocks it.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Shields stays in close to II's body and controls the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.
II on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

II jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Shields walks away with a smile on his face. II gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Arturo Shields has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Atilla II.
Shields misses with a body kick.
II has his takedown stuffed
and Shields counters with a stiff right hand.
Shields scoring well with a low kick there.
Shields cracks the inside of II's front leg.
Shields misses with a double jab.
II wants to counter with a clinch but Shields pushes him away.
A solid leg kick lands there for Shields.

No luck with that takedown attempt from II.
Shields throws a big counter combination but II scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
II leaves Shields with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
II blocks the body kick.
Shields fails to land with a series of punches.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
II gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Shields counters with a nice low kick that buckles II's knee momentarily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Arturo Shields showed his dominance in that final round.
I think II has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
