The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoover throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Diaz.
Hoover lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Hoover slaps away a takedown attempt from Diaz, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Hoover ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Hoover looks to land a combination but Diaz avoids it well.

Hoover lands a left and a right that send Diaz crashing to the mat, dazed. Hoover thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Dominic Hoover spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
Diego Diaz spoke after the fight, saying 'Eu amo este esporte e eu nunca vou parar até que eu estou morto, então eu estarei de volta novamente. (I love this sport & I will never stop until I'm dead so I will be back again)'.
