The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erschov checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Erschov.

Malecki rushes Erschov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Malecki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Erschov throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Malecki.
Malecki has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Erschov is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Erschov avoids a kick to the body.
Erschov tries to clinch there but Malecki circles away.

Erschov lands a head kick. Malecki smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

No joy there for Malecki, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The fight stays on the outside here - Erschov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Erschov shoots for a takedown but Malecki saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Erschov tries to clinch there but Malecki circles away.
Erschov sets himself, and Malecki steps forward looking for the clinch! Erschov avoids it this time.
Erschov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Malecki sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Erschov somewhat.

Malecki lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Erschov circles away quickly and effectively.

Malecki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Erschov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Erschov is trying to control the action in half guard but Malecki is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Erschov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Malecki is just riding it out for now. Erschov eventually gives up the hold.

Erschov is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Malecki looks calm but he's in trouble here. Erschov gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Malecki is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Erschov lets go of the hold and Malecki can pop his arm back in it's socket.
