Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Arshnoor Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Predator Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Singh comes to the cage accompanied by 2Pac - Hit 'Em Up. Burns has chosen How I Could Just Kill A Man - Cypress Hill as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arshnoor Singh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Predator Burns!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Singh fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Burns throws a lazy body kick
and Singh makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Burns takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Burns misses with an uppercut. Singh saw that one coming.
A chopping leg kick lands by Singh.
Burns misses the shot to the body.
Burns lands with a shot to the body.
Burns walks into a stiff left hand from Singh.
Burns throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Singh's waist but Singh gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Burns off to one side.
Nice defenses there by Burns.
Burns tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Singh paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Singh throws a punch but it's blocked by Burns.
Burns throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Singhs head.

Singh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Singh moves out of range of the strikes.
Singh fires out a quick counter leg kick but Burns just manages to avoid it.
Burns fails with the takedown
and Singh counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Singh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A telegraphed right hand from Singh misses the target.
Singh slips under a jab.
Singh throws the kick towards the body but Burns avoids it.
Burns now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Singh moves out of range of the strikes.
Arshnoor Singh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Singh lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Burns lands a body shot.

Burns tries to close the distance and clinch up but Singh swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Singh counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Burns throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Singh throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Burns is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Burns cracks Singh with a right hand to the side of the head.
Burns tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Singh paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Singh looks to land a right hand but Burns moved out of range.

and Singh counters with a nice uppercut.
Arshnoor Singh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Predator Burns.
Singh keeps the fight on the outside.
Singh throws a left and a right that both miss
and Burns counters with a nice body shot.

Burns moves in looking to clinch but Singh pushes him off.
Burns tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Singh tries to work over Burns's front leg with a kick but Burns checks it.
Singh goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Burns throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Singh was covering up waiting for the punch and Burns finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Burns won't allow Singh to get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Burns postures up in Singh's guard and throws a big left but Singh blocks it.
Singh keeping moving, preventing Burns from controlling successfully.
Burns trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Burns is pushing down on Singh's leg trying to pass to half guard. Singh is fighting to maintain full guard but Burns has managed to sneak the leg through.
Burns is just content to waste time from the top position. Singh takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Burns stays in close to Singh's body and controls the position.
Burns tries to free his leg and advance position but Singh is retaining full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arshnoor Singh dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Burns looks to clinch
and Singh counters with a nice uppercut.
Burns on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Burns shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Singh as he avoids it easily.
Burns tries to clinch there but Singh circles away.
Burns tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Singh was well out of range. Poor timing from Burns.
Burns moves in looking to clinch but Singh pushes him off.
The fight stays on the outside here - Burns looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Singh keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Burns throws a big shot that misses.
Singh is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Burns can do to turn this around?

Burns wants to clinch up but Singh keeps it at a distance.
Burns lands with a cross.
Singh throws a body punch but Burns moves out of range.
Burns tries to counter with a clinch but Singh shakes him off and moves away.
Singh throws a jab but it's blocked by Burns.
Burns tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Singh misses with a body kick.
Burns uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Singh.
Singh swings for the body but Burns moves out of range.
Singh throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
And Burns tries to counter it with a takedown but Singh pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Singh checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Burns tries to close the distance and clinch but Singh swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Singh fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Burns looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Burns avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Singh misses with a leg kick
and Burns counters with a straight right hand.
Burns missing with a left hand there. Singh was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Singh swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Burns misses the shot to the body.
Singh is looking to counter with a shot to the body.

and Singh takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Burns wants to control but Singh is keeping him busy.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Burns tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Burns has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Singh stops Burns from passing to mount.
Burns has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Burns lands an elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Arshnoor Singh will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Burns has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Singh seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Burns can turn it around.

Burns has picked Singh up - he's going for a ride! Burns dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Burns seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Singh does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Burns wants to control but Singh is keeping him busy.
Burns is pressing down on Singh's thigh, looking to free his foot. Singh is holding on for now.
Singh avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Burns.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Predator Burns.
I think Singh has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
