Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jake Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yves Jabouin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jabouin has chosen Trobule On My Mind- Pusha T and Tyler The Creator as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 36 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake Nelson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yves Jabouin!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jabouin throws a head kick that misses.
The fighters circling - Nelson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Nelson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jabouin.
Jabouin takes a jab right on the kisser.
Nelson tries a head kick but it misses.
Jabouin has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Nelson swings for the body but Jabouin moves out of range.
Jabouin tries to counter by closing the distance.
Jabouin moves out of range of the strikes.
Nelson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jabouin doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Jabouin getting the better of the striking in that exchange.


It looks like Jake Nelson has been cut.
Nelson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nelson looks to land a combination but Jabouin avoids it well.
Jabouin throws out a counter right but Nelson avoids it with no problem.
Nelson misses with a body punch
enabling Jabouin to counter with a crisp jab.
Nelson lands an overhand right.
Jabouin wants to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jabouin misses with a looping left.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Nelson, as that shot connected.
Nelson throws an overhand right that lands on Jabouin's shoulder, as Jabouin tries to avoid the shot.
Jabouin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jabouin connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Nelson momentarily.
Nelson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Nelson tries a head kick but it misses.
Jabouin misses with an uppercut. Nelson saw that one coming.
Jabouin tries a head kick but it misses.
Nelson appears to be looking for a big counter.
Nelson throws a head kick but Jabouin moves out of range.
Nelson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jabouin avoids it really well and circles away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nelson.
Nelson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jabouin throws a body punch but Nelson moves out of range.
Nelson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jabouin to score with a decent uppercut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jabouin looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A head kick misses from Nelson.
Jake Nelson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jabouin cracks Nelson with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Nelson looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Jabouin finish him?


Nelson is rocked!


Jake Nelson's cut is getting worse.
Jabouin has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Jabouin scores with a jab.
Oh Nelson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jabouin fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Jabouin throws a sloppy head kick and Nelson moves out of range easily.

Jabouin moves into the clinch.
Nelson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jabouin is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Nelson seems to have got his legs back now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Nelson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nelson blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Jabouin lands a hook that snaps the head of Nelson backwards.
Nelson lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Nelson jumps into guard, dragging Jabouin to the mat.

Nelson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jabouin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jabouin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Nelson is proving hard to escape from.

Nelson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jabouin is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Nelson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Jabouin missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Nelson pulls Jabouin in to control the position.

Nelson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Nelson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yves Jabouin dominated that round.

That's time! Back to the action!


Jabouin wants to clinch.
Nelson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nelson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Nelson shoots in for a takedown but Jabouin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jabouin is looking to clinch but Nelson is avoiding it.
Nelson throws a poor cross that misses

and Jabouin counters with a head kick that drops Nelson to the mat! Nelson scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Yves Jabouin seems to be getting the better of the standup.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nelson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jabouin lands a brutal head kick. Nelson looks out on his feet and Jabouin throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Yves Jabouin!
In his post fight interview, Yves Jabouin started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
