Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Waclav Szbrjcik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephan Walter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Szbrjcik comes to the ring accompanied by Public Enemy ft. Anthrax : Bring The Noise. Waclav Szbrjcik has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Waclav Szbrjcik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, Stephan Walter!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szbrjcik thuds his shin into the meat of Walter's side.
Walter takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Walter closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Szbrjcik's guard.
Walter throws a big right hand that misses.
Walter throwing strikes but missing.
Szbrjcik is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Walter flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Walter pushes Szbrjcik off looking to stand but Szbrjcik dives back in and keeps control.

Szbrjcik seems to be working for a kimura but Walter defends the submission attempt.
Walter tries to kick Szbrjcik off but Szbrjcik keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Szbrjcik is keen to just control but Walter is a slippery customer.

Szbrjcik is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Walter is just riding it out for now. Szbrjcik eventually gives up the hold.

Szbrjcik is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Walter defends it well.
Walter regains full guard. Nicely done.
Szbrjcik is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Walter wants to sweep but no luck.
Szbrjcik throwing strikes from guard but Walter blocks nicely.
Szbrjcik won't allow Walter to sweep him here.

Szbrjcik has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Walter looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Szbrjcik puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Walter slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Szbrjcik content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Szbrjcik throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Walter not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Szbrjcik trying to control the position from guard on top but Walter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Walter is trying to control the position but Szbrjcik postures up.
Szbrjcik scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Walter wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Szbrjcik stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Walter swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Walter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Szbrjcik tries to free his leg and advance position but Walter is retaining full guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Walter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Szbrjcik doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Walter is tightening it up a little... Szbrjcik has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Szbrjcik reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Szbrjcik taps out! Nice BJJ there by Walter!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Stephan Walter!
Stephan Walter really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Milwaukee's Best Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
