Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rio Yaj (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dry Humber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rio Yaj!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dry Humber!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yaj connects with a nice looking jab.

Humber is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Yaj's half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Humber keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Humber is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Yaj is looking to get to half guard.
Yaj wants to hold on but Humber pushes him away.
Humber seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Yaj is holding on tight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Humber trying to control but Yaj is having none of it.
Humber is looking to work his way around to Yaj's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Yaj wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Yaj defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Humber.

Humber working for a submission but Yaj is keeping him at bay.
Yaj stops Humber from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Humber tries to control but Yaj wriggling away.

Humber goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Yaj turns into him and now he's in Humber's guard.

Yaj has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Humber wants to sweep here but Yaj controlling him for the moment.
Yaj trying to control the position from guard on top but Humber is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Yaj passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Humber is not content to let Yaj control the position.

Yaj working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Yaj's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Humber can't do much from the bottom here.
Yaj wants to control but Humber is keeping him busy.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Yaj really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Humber drives through with a takedown into Yaj's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Yaj not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Humber throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Yaj tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Humber is in Yaj's guard.
Humber is pushing down on Yaj's leg trying to pass to half guard. Yaj is fighting to maintain full guard but Humber has managed to sneak the leg through.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Yaj has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Humber is working away from the top position though.
Humber is keen to just control but Yaj is a slippery customer.

Humber has control of an arm but Yaj manages to advance to Humber's back!

Yaj will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Dry Humber has got the better of the ground game so far.

Humber wants to control his opponent's hands but Yaj gets his hands free.

Humber looking very determined here, making life difficult for Yaj.
Yaj really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Humber.
Yaj doesn't have the hooks in and Humber manages to turn into his guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Humber feints and as Yaj raises his hands in defense, Humber changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Yaj trying to keep a closed guard but Humber is proving a slippery customer.
Yaj tries to land a sweep but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dry Humber showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Yaj cracks Humber with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Humber takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Yaj lands a slapping body shot.

Humber drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Yaj looking to hit a scissor sweep but Humber is one step ahead there.
Humber not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Humber is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Yaj is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Dry Humber!
After the fight, Dry Humber was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
