Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Campion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Der Debil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Debil has chosen Bulimic as his entrance music. Der Debil is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matthew Campion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Der Debil!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Russell Pearce and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Campion misses
and Debil counters with a slapping leg kick.
We've been told by Campion's head coaches at The Factory that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Campion can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Debil is looking to escape.

Debil works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Debil shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Campion pinned against the cage. Campion gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Campion throws a sloppy head kick and Debil moves out of range easily.

Debil shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Campion but Campion pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Matthew Campion has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Der Debil.

Campion throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Campion tries to land a front kick but Debil steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Debil dives in for a single leg takedown but Campion sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Debil fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Campion, pushing him back against the cage.
Debil changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Campion fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Debil will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Campion tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Debil paws at him with a jab and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Matthew Campion will probably get the nod.

Debil shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Campion as he jumps to the side.

Debil unleashes a big counter combination but Campion bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Campion throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Debil takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Der Debil!
Der Debil decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
Matthew Campion was interviewed post fight and said 'Congratulations to my opponent. He was the better man today. Now I go back to training to make sure that I'm the better man tomorrow. Thanks to the fans for all of their support.'.
