Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Katsu Laoka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ceoghan Cartwright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laoka comes to the cage accompanied by The Bell Tolls. Cartwright has chosen Disciples of Power - Born Unto Death as his entrance music. Katsu Laoka has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Katsu Laoka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ceoghan Cartwright!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartwright shoots in and drives through. Laoka sprawls well.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Laoka lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Cartwright has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Cartwright and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Laoka instigates a clinch.
Laoka tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Laoka is trying to stall.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Katsu Laoka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ceoghan Cartwright.

Cartwright jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Laoka walks away with a smile on his face. Cartwright gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Cartwright moves out of range of the leg kick from Laoka.
Cartwright changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Cartwright shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Laoka but Laoka pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Laoka drops down looking for a counter takedown but Cartwright sprawls and moves away.
Cartwright fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Laoka works the jab nicely.
Laoka tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cartwright paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nice takedown defense from Laoka. No joy for Cartwright on that attempt.

Laoka gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Laoka seems keen to control Cartwright's posture.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cartwright postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Cartwright working his ground and pound in the gym.

Cartwright drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Laoka dives on top into guard.

Laoka wants to stand but Cartwright is controlling his posture from full guard.

Cartwright is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Laoka defends well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Cartwright has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Laoka escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Laoka!
Cartwright is trying to improve his position.
Cartwright is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Cartwright gets full guard.

Cartwright has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Laoka can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A nice inside leg kick there by Laoka. That's going to slow Cartwright down.
Ceoghan Cartwright is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Laoka turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Cartwright throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cartwright takes a swing at Laoka's ribcage but misses.
Laoka connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Laoka blocks a jab.
Laoka scores with a hook.
Nice sprawl there from Laoka as Cartwright shoots in.
Laoka thuds his shin into the meat of Cartwright's side.

A swing and a miss from Cartwright.
Laoka cracks Cartwright with a right hand to the side of the head.
Nice uppercut lands for Laoka. That snapped Cartwright's head back.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Laoka fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Laoka drops Cartwright with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Cartwright looks back up at him and smiles so Laoka waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Cartwright is rocked!

Laoka flashes Cartwright a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Cartwright's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Cartwright crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Laoka punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Katsu Laoka!
