Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nishu Dere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dagur Egilsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Egilsson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Despite the aggression on Egilsson's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Dere looks for the body kick but Egilsson saw that one coming.
Egilsson blocks a jab.

Dere gets a takedown into half guard.
Dere controlling the action here.
Egilsson won't allow Dere to pass to mount.

Egilsson is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.
Egilsson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Egilsson tries to counter with a clinch but Dere shakes him off and moves away.
Dagur Egilsson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Egilsson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Dere paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Dere manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Egilsson on his heels. He'll look to pass Egilsson's guard now, I'm sure.

Dere is in close to Egilsson's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Dere drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Egilsson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dere has Egilsson in his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Egilsson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As Dere backs off Egilsson throws a huge counter combo but Dere manages to avoid it all.

Egilsson throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Dere.

Dere tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Egilsson smiles and moves away.

Nishu Dere seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dere has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Dagur Egilsson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Dere takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
