Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shape Shifter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksandar Kamenov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kamenov has chosen Korn - Hey Daddy as his entrance music. Shape Shifter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kamenov scores with a jab to the jaw.
Shifter is looking to chop away at Kamenov's legs.
Kamenov throws a shot from downtown. Shifter moves away and avoids it.
Shifter attempts a counter takedown but Kamenov avoids it well and moves away.
Kamenov misses the shot to the body.
Kamenov throws a body shot but no joy.
As Kamenov backs away, Shifter returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Shifter tries to clinch up.
Kamenov doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Kamenov is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Shifter.
Kamenov lands a jab.
Kamenov circles away from the clinch attempt.
Shifter uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kamenov.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kamenov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shifter was well out of range. Poor timing from Kamenov.
We've been hearing reports that Shifter has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

It looks like Shape Shifter has been cut.

Shifter shoots in and bounces Kamenov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Kamenov is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Shifter is controlling him.

Shifter is looking to work some ground and pound but Kamenov has wrist control.
Shifter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kamenov works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Kamenov pulls Shifter in close to prevent any damage.
Shifter trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Shifter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kamenov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Shifter has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kamenov lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Shifter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Shifter bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kamenov's guard.

Shifter drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kamenov looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kamenov looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kamenov!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shifter is not content to let Kamenov control the position.
Shifter is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kamenov throws a head kick but Shifter moves out of range.
Kamenov buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Shifter takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Shifter goes for a double leg but Kamenov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kamenov continues to drive forward.
Kamenov throws a body punch but Shifter moves out of range.
As Kamenov backs away, Shifter returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Shifter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Shifter pushes Kamenov up against the cage in a clinch.
Kamenov tries to throw a body punch but Shifter avoids it by throwing Kamenov back against the cage.
Kamenov has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Shifter has picked Kamenov up - he's going for a ride! Shifter dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Shifter stops Kamenov from getting back to his feet.
Kamenov wants to control but Shifter is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Shifter has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Kamenov defend it? Shifter steps over the head and cranks it - Kamenov is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Shifter!
