The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez fails with the takedown.
TupperII drops down looking for a counter takedown but Sanchez sprawls and moves away.

Sanchez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Sanchez looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
TupperII is trying to control Sanchez's posture but Sanchez avoids it.
Sanchez wants to control but TupperII is keeping him busy.
Sanchez prevents TupperII from escaping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sanchez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. TupperII knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

TupperII might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

TupperII is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sanchez is aware though and is defending well.

Sanchez lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
TupperII tries to get to full guard but Sanchez has control of the leg.

Sanchez is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Sanchez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Sanchez wants to free his trapped foot but TupperII is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Sanchez uses his free foot to push down on TupperII's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for TupperII.
TupperII is wriggling around trying to escape.

It looks like Bobby TupperII has been cut.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sanchez cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
TupperII tries to hold on but Sanchez pushes him away.
Sanchez postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. TupperII looks a forlorn figure.


TupperII is rocked!


Bobby TupperII's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Sanchez lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Oh TupperII is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sanchez unloads with some vicious shots from mount and TupperII wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Sanchez celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
