Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sugamura Akirama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Winner Five (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akirama shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Five defends it nicely.
Akirama throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Five holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Five escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Akirama shoots in for a double leg but Five sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Five is looking to slow Akirama down with leg kicks.
Akirama takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Five tries a head kick but it misses.
Five lands a nice hook to Akirama's body. Akirama takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Horrible takedown attempt by Akirama or perhaps it was just good defense by Five, which made it look bad.
Five feints the counter takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sugamura Akirama. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Akirama crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Five - the referee stops the clock and Akirama gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Five. Akirama manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Five scores with a push kick.
Akirama is breathing heavily.
A solid leg kick lands there for Five.

Five lands a big right hand that sends Akirama crashing to the mat! Five stays standing though and waves Akirama back to his feet!

Five lands a nice looking body kick.
Five throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Akirama crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
