Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Ace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Henry Honeycutt!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ace misses with a series of wild punches.

Honeycutt wants to sweep but no luck.
Honeycutt utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Ace is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ace knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Honeycutt on the ground.

Ace escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Honeycutt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Honeycutt is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Ace controls Honeycutt momentarily but Honeycutt frees himself.
Ace really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Ace is not content to let Honeycutt control the position.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Ace is looking to stand back up but Honeycutt counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Ace.

Ace is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Honeycutt defends well.

Honeycutt is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ace is just riding it out for now. Honeycutt eventually gives up the hold.

Honeycutt got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ace has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Honeycutt has managed to get both his arms back between Ace's legs - danger averted.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Honeycutt connects with a nice short shot to Ace's temple.

Honeycutt is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ace defends it well.

Honeycutt has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Ace defend it? Honeycutt steps over the head and cranks it - Ace is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Honeycutt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Henry Honeycutt!
